Marcela Ibáñez is Research Associate at the Collaborative Research Center “Political Economy of Reforms” (SFB884) Project B7 “Attitudes and Conflict: Longitudinal Conflict Analysis and Randomized Control Trials (RCTs) in Asia and Africa”. She is also Research Fellow at the Chair of Empirical Democracy Research and Doctoral Candidate at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences (GESS) at the University of Mannheim. Her research focuses on political methodology, experimental design, survey design, intra-party politics, and comparative security policy in conflict and post-conflict scenarios.

Marcela holds a master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Mannheim and a master’s degree in Security Studies from the Charles University in Prague. She has been Teaching Associate at the Chair of Political Economy at the University of Mannheim and Research Fellow at the Mannheim Center for European Social Research (MZES).
