Sebastian is a PhD candidate in Economics (esp. Empirical Public Economics) for the C5 project, "Fiscal institutions and reform preferences." His research interests include applied fiscal federalism (e.g. administrative border reforms), empirical taxation, attitudes towards public policy and political economy. His dissertation is supervised by Prof. Dr. Alfons Weichenrieder at the University of Frankfurt. Previous research was published in the European Journal of Political Economy, Perspektiven der Wirtschaftspolitik and Regional Science and Urban Economics.
