Ruben is a researcher in social science quantitative methods for the A8 project “Evaluating Data Sources for Research into Political Reforms: (Non)probability Online Surveys and Big Data”. He joined the SFB in 2018 after spending three years in the Institute for Employment Research’s (IAB) Graduate Program where he wrote his dissertation on respondent conditioning. His research interests include topics in survey methodology (survey and panel conditioning, motivated misreporting, response propensities), statistics (causal inference, machine learning) and the use of alternative data sources (administrative data, big data).
