Joseph Sakshaug is Distinguished Researcher and Head of the Data Collection and Data Integration Unit at the German Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nuremberg. Previously, he was Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Social Statistics at the University of Manchester (UK) and Junior (Assistant) Professor in Statistics and Social Science Methodology at the University of Mannheim. He is also Adjunct Research Assistant Professor in the Survey Research Center at the University of Michigan and Faculty Member in the International Program in Survey and Data Science. His research focuses on data quality issues in complex surveys (e.g. nonresponse and measurement error), the integration of multiple data sources, and empirical research methods. Dr. Sakshaug is an Associate Member of the A8 Project, “Evaluating data sources for research into political reforms: (Non)probability online surveys and Big Data.”
